Youtube Celebrates Rise of Afrobeats Through Burna Boy’s Eyes

When Burna Boy‘s mother cum manager promised music fans that 2019 will be an even bigger year for Burna Boy, not many doubted her because, let’s face it, he has been on fire for a long time now and even though it took many long to wake up enough to see it, we are all finally seeing it.

The year started with the announcement that Burna Boy and Mr Eazi had been invited to the famous Coachella music festival and even though Burna Boy had a meltdown that saw him lash out at the festival, it was still dope.

Well, a new documentary made by Youtube is finally out and it chronicles the rise of Afrobeats in Africa through the eyes of Burna Boy and his manager, Bose Ogulu.

Speaking on the rise, Addy Awofisayo of Youtube said: ““African music is the most recent example. For years now, YouTube has played an essential role in the discovery and development of African sound, exporting African music to listeners worldwide, enabling collaborations within the global and regional music industry, and accelerating the transition to digital for fans on the continent.”

Burna Boy himself has been quick to share the documentary as it is another huge win for the “Outside” crooner and confirms his rise in the industry.
