Small Doctor Arrested for Gun Possession and Threatening to Shoot a Policeman

“Thank You” crooner Small Doctor is in big trouble. The rapper, whose real name is Adekunle Temitope, was recently arrested in Oshodi for allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer.

Small Doctor, who joined Tania Omotayo, Sound Sultan and others to break the Ramadan fast with President Buhari back in June, was not only arrested but paraded alongside three others.

Commenting on the incident, Lagos State police commissioner Edgal Imohimi observed to newsmen: “He allegedly brought out a weapon and threatened to fire the policemen. Fortunately the DPO and other policemen at Shogunle intercepted the suspects and arrested them.

“When they were brought here it was discovered that one of them was the same Adekunle Temitope a.k.a Small Doctor with three others and they were arrested with a functional rifle, a cartridge and some personal items.”

Describing Small Doctor’s character as one of gangsterism, the commissioner said it is not worth emulating.

This wouldn’t be Small Doctor’s first case with the police over gun possession – or use. He had allegedly fired a gun during one of his shows at Agege, injuring four persons. He had a case with the police even before his arrest in the company of three others in a green SUV.
