Tony Tetuila Loses Mom
It’s a sad time for veteran Nigerian singer, Tony Tetuila following news that his mother has passed away.
Sharing the sad news on Instagram, the “Omode Meta” crooner wrote: Maami, GOD took you to a better place yesterday, heaven gained a beautiful angel……Rest in peace in JESUS Name Amen.you will always be on my mind…there is no one like you maami.oh my GOD ?
Tony Tetuila is no stranger to music circles as the veteran singer is one of the pioneers of the profitable music that we have currently.
Tony Tetuila whose real name is Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye was a part of the music group, Remedies that comprised two other big faces, Eedris Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana.
At the height of his musical reign, Tony Tetuila shelled out hit songs like “Fefe na Efe”, “My Car“, “Omode Meta“, “Iseju Akan“, “Ikokuko“, “Yes O“, “Omo Pupa“, “E Wa Bami Jo” and dropped albums like “E Go Better“, “Morning Time”, and “My Car“.
In 2014, the Oro-born artist joined the league of entertainers venturing into politics after he contested for the House of Assembly seat in Kwara state. He ran unsuccessfully though on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
It will be recalled that entertainers like 9ice contested in the last Nigerian election unsuccessfully, while two actors contested as well with only one of them winning.
