What has been a streak of massive wins for DWM Boss, David Adeleke, has now been punctuated by news of undesired behaviour by one of his aides which recently caused a commotion at the arrival section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
The aide who was referred simply to as Kayode was alleged to have beaten up officials of the of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Aviation Security (AVSEC), a department under the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and a staff of Checkport over an attempt to check the tags on the checked luggage of Davido.
The “Like Dat” singer had been on vacation in Dubai following the massive-success of his 30 Billion Concert at the Eko Hotels, where he claimed he made a whopping 500 million Naira in profit.
However, once he arrived the country at the MMA with his crew and a combined 17 checked luggage, Kayode refused officials of the airport the opportunity to check the tags according to procedure.
The said Kayode became enraged after an argument had generated due to his insistence and punched the Checkport staff in the face, which attracted other security officials at the terminal who immediately attempted to arrest the aide. He was subsequently taken to Tango City, where undesired elements are taken before onward transfer to a police station.
While there, Kayode allegedly hit a female AVSEC official on the stomach as she was taking notes of the incident. He later pushed another Customs personnel who fell and cut his wrist in the industrial fan in the area.
Sahara Reporters reports that even though Davido was aware of the incident and had been trying to mobilise to bring the situation under control, the suitcases are yet to be released as at the time of going to press.
