Watch: Davido Finally Apologizes To Dele Momodu As He Performs At Ovation Red Carol 2017

With fame comes lots grudges and unnecessary rivalries and Davido’s beef against Dele Momodu is a good case in point, of what fame can do to your private life. Two years has passed since the fallen presidential aspirant and Media icon, Dele Momodu made headlines with a poisonous grudge between himself and Davido.

The two allegedly begun the rancour when DeleMomody and his niece, Sophia Momodu conspired against Davido, thereby barring Davido from taking his daughter, Imade (whom Davido had co-parents with Sophia) on a trip to Dubai, unless her mother (Sophia) accompanied them.

The incidence seared Davido’s relationship with Dele Momodu so badly that Davido wrote two distasteful songs against Mr. Dele. If you have listened to “Osinachi” by Humblesmith which featured the DMW Boss or “Bahd Baddo Baddest” of Falz, alongside the “Fall” hitmaker and Olamide, then you will probably sense a bit of an antipathy in Davido’s lyrics.

All these were just a tip of the iceberg of everything Davido had to say about Dele Momodu.

However, this all changed after the singer apologised to the very respectable media man on Sunday. All this time Dele Momodu had maintained a lot of maturity, trying to not air his family’s dirty laundry in public. Like it or not, Davido is family to the Momodu’s and it just helps that the Ovation publisher never tried to even the score with Davido in public.

Davido made a public apology to Dele during the Ovation Red Carol in Lagos this Sunday. The two greeted warmly and hugged one another. Afterwards the event was lit up by an uplifting performance by Davido.
