With barely any warning at all, Maybach Music Group rapper, Wale, surprised his fans on Monday night (May 7) with a 4-track EP titled “Self Promotion”. This is coming after the release of his “It’s Complicated” EP in March which also came as a surprise to his fans, making “Self Promotion” his second EP for the year.
Wiping his Instagram page clean, the MMG artist whose real name is Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, shared the news of the EP release with some help from “Monday Night Raw” commentator Corey Graves, and there’s little surprise there as it is widely known that the rapper is a huge WWE fan.
The surprise EP features the previously released “Negotiations” and three new songs, one of which is a freestyle dubbed “Body Body Body” and a lone feature from DJ Money on “Cassius (Excellency)”.
His last album, a 14-track project titled “Shine” whch gave us the famous “Fashion Week” on which he featured G-Eazy and “Running Back” with Young Money boss Lil Wayne, was released in April 2017 and was dedicated to his daughter Zyla Moon.
He has since been actively dishing out top-rated songs to his fans to remind them of why he’s their favourite. Earlier this year, he released “Staying Power” on which he painted a picture of where he stands in his life and career at the moment.
