I Don’t Sound Like Reekado Banks and Wizkid, Rema Fires Back

Mavin Records star Rema has charmed many since his official signing by the record label to which he had been affiliated for some time, with label boss Don Jazzy saying Rema is the future. The world is watching seriously.

The people – or music watchers, if you please – seem to be taking notice too, not just of Rema the artiste but of his sound as well. The buzzing act is thought by many to sound like Skiibii, Reekado Banks, and “Gucci Snake” crooner Wizkid.

However, Rema, who recently released “Iron Man,” has laughed off the assertion that he sounded like anyone of the three. He rather thinks they sound like him instead. And he made that clear without mincing words whatsoever.

In a recent interview, Rema had objected to the argument that he sounded like Wizkid and co, commenting: ” I don’t sound like anyone actually, they might sound like me but I don’t sound like anyone.“

He said those words with a note of finality, and somehow many might end up agreeing with him after all.
