Burna Boy Hits Back, Calls Nigerians Unprogressive Fools

It’s not the most flattering of times for “Ye” crooner, Burna Boy as he is taking a lot of fire from music artistes all over the continent following his comments on the font used to write his name by the Coachella Music Festival.

The whole issue started initially as a small issue after Burna Boy posted a message for Coachella, complaining about the font his name was written and asking them to fix things because he was an African king.

“@coachella, I really appreciate you. But I don’t appreciate the way my name is written so small in your bill. I am African giant and will not be reduced to whatever that tiny writing means. Fix tings quickly please. @ Coachella”

Music fans felt differently though and cautioned him that he was letting fame get into his head especially with the way he regarded himself as an African King. Some even derided him, that he wasn’t even a Nigerian King.

Burna Boy didn’t take this well and has hit back at the critics. In a post made on Insta story, he wrote:

“Don’t worry, I know for a fact that my own country, NIGERIA is home to the largest number of backward Unprogressive FOOLS. I will still fight for them because they are not mentally advanced enough to fight for themselves.

They will Forever have my Genuine undying LOVE. To the few proud Young AFRICAN Intellectuals who will not conform to whatever bullshit they are given. you are the Only Hope of AFRICA. God bless you all.”

As you can probably guess, Nigerians didn’t take this well at all and there’s currently a dragging fest on social media as most are falling over themselves to get in a shot at Burna Boy for the ‘unprogressive fools’ tag he slapped Nigerians with.
