Blessings on Me” crooner Reekado Banks recently turned 25, and for the rapper it is time to move on to greater things, one of which is setting up his own record label Banks Music.

Reekado Banks, who was signed to ’s Mavin Records four years ago, recently announced his exit from the music label. It was not an acrimonious exit, and he described his years at Mavin Records as among the best in his career.

Today I write in tears, not from  place of pain, but of joy and gratitude. A place of blissful satistction because I m more thn contented with how far this opportunity has brought me. The last five years have been the most blissful years of my career,”  he wrote on his verified Instagram page.

He also uploaded a video that might well pass as an introduction to his record label. The video has the simple caption: “GOING FORWARD … BANKS MUSIC !!”

Reekado Banks became famous under ’s Mavin Records. Back when he was signed to the record label, he had released scorchers such as “Standard,” “Pull Up,” and several others.  “Blessings on Me” may be thought of as his “sign out track” from , as the song marked his exit.
