Reekado Banks Says Goodbye To MAVIN Records After 5 Years

Nigerian singer and song writer, Reekado Banks who celebrated his 25th birthday yesterday has announced his exit from Mavin Records via social media.

On his Instagram handle, the ‘Like’ crooner stated that while it’s painful for him to leave the record which had become his second family, it is imperative that he looks for bigger opportunities despite his love for the records. He said;

To  demonstrate their understanding and love for the ‘Easy(Jeje)’ hitmaker and to assure fans that all was well between the record label and Reekado Banks, the official Instagram handle of Mavin Records commented on his post by wishing him greater success on his search for better opportunities in his music career.

Reekado Banks was discovered by Don Jazzy in 2014 after his brother submitted some of his songs to Mavin Records during an online talent search.

The singer, on the day of his signing (21st of February 2014) under the record label released his official first single titled ‘Turn It Up’ featuring Mavin First Lady, Tiwa Savage.

Under Mavin, the melodious-voiced singer has gone on to release hit tracks from ‘Oluwa Ni’, to ‘Standard’, ‘Like’, ‘Pull Up’ and recent fan-favourite, ‘Blessings On Me’.
