It was a time of reflection for “Nwa Baby” crooner as he celebrated his 26th birthday recently. The DMW boss has had his own share of ups and downs.
The 30 Billion Gang big shot has come a long way. From a musical unknown he has become one of the most celebrated and sought after artistes not just in Nigeria but in Africa as well. His dedication and talents have taken him far indeed.
As is to be expected in a journey of fame, he has been helped and encouraged by other artistes. He is especially grateful for the brotherly love shown him by Ghana’s Mr Eazi and of course Wizkid, who was at some point his rival.
In the video of the journey so far, the “Assurance” hitmaker also spoke about shutting down the O2 Arena, his sold out tours and much more. From watching the video of Davido recap his life in the industry so far, one comes to the realization that even the children of the wealthy also get slapped by great difficulties. But then, that’s life.
Davido, who was recently denied the use of Eko Atlantic City for his December concert, is looking ahead, not just getting another venue but exploring more of Africa’s music streams as well. Given his strings of successes, 2019 should be a walk over.
