Davido Interrogated Over Private Jet

DMW boss Davido had said he had a jet but some disputed it, and even a business associate Okechukwu Anyaene went public to say OBO had no private jet but was living a fake life.

Davido has since disproved that when his jet touched down at Lagos Airport. He has flown by that jet for shows across the continent, even down the border into Benin Republic where he got fans into a frenzy by performing “Assurance” on stage with his girlfriend Chioma.

Disproving Anyaene’s claims with a post of his jet emblazoned with the DMW logo rested the case albeit temporarily.

However, just days ago, Davido was to have performed in Nairobi. But he was a no-show. He took to Twitter to explain that he had flight issues and could not make the trip. He went to say that his team tried to find a way around the problem but was unsuccessful.

The tweet reads in full: “Nairobi, I can’t be with you guys tonight. Flight issues out of my control, we tried to find a solution but no luck. A new date will be announced soon.”

The tweet puzzled a fan who had apparently known the “Fia” hitmaker as flying private (with his (Davido’s) jet, of course). The fan, who goes by the Twitter handle @cutyeking, fired a question that has since been “loved” by over 10 thousand persons. The question was a simple “Where your private jet?”

Davido, who rarely replies comments on social media, had to reply this one, explaining that his father had to use the jet. He ended up asking a question himself: “…any problem?”

Apparently none, but it may resurrect the speculation that the jet is not his but his father’s. Or a gift from his father. Well, what do you think? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
