Davido & Dele Momodu React to Alleged Freezing of 7 Accounts of the Adeleke Family by the EFCC

A Twitter user going by the handle @PDP_2019 recently tweeted that seven accounts of the Adeleke (Davido) family was frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Among the accounts frozen, the user claimed, were those of “Nwa Baby” crooner Davido (real name David Adeleke.) the tweet reads: “REAKING NEWS: EFCC freezes 7 different bank account of the Adeleke family (@IsiakaAdeleke1 PDP gubernatorial Candidate’s family) including that of @iam_Davido and his multi billionaire dad. On the other hand, PMB releases N16B to @raufaregbesola to rig election.”

The publisher of Ovation magazine Dele Momodu, whomis a close rfriend of the family, took to Twitter to confirm that the source of the information was unimpeachable. His tweet reads: “ADELEKE family accounts frozen; source of information unimpeachable…”

This was after he had registered doubts intitially with the tweet that reads, verbatim: “I refuse to believe that anyone, in the name of politics, would freeze the bank accounts of a hardworking family THE ADELEKEs including that of this young icon DAVIDO who has done our country very proud… God save our dear beloved nation… I pray it is fake news…”

The news of the freezing was brought to Davido’s attention on Twitter, and he laughed it off, seemingly unaffected by it all.

He tweeted: “Make dem go Wells Fargo for ATL na ??.” He then added confidently: “God dey!! OBO DEY.”

The news of the freezing of the supposed seven accounts have not been confirmed by any mainstream media.
