It is your life, quite all right, but the public wants to dictate how you live it most of the time. This reality can be trying, but it is not what celebrities have been able to avoid.

“Lova Lova” hitmaker Tiwa Savage is spinning in the mill of this reality, and she isn’t having it. Fame has thrust her in the dock of public opinion and the public judges her move or lack of it.

But the Mavin Records star wants a normal life – that of the girl in the next flat – without the public judging what she wears and doesn’t. What she says or doesn’t.

The pop star, who sold out the O2 Arena in her recent London tour, said she loved shorts and wears them. If by some wardrobe function they happen to expose her butt, well, she never really planned for that to happen.

She posted: “Because you know they judge me a lot right … They misunderstand me, I don’t want to be controversial, I just like the shorts, the black shorts. I didn’t know it was all cut out and my bumbum was out.

I don’t want you guys to judge me, I just want to live! I just want to … as a Nigerian woman, as an African woman and I can be rich, successful, I can still have a little fun… and I can do all of those things and still be sexy as f**k”

She can’t control what opinions they public keep about her, or even what the public says. In this case she will have to do a lot of ignoring. That’s one sure way to retain her sanity.
