“You’re a hot pile of trash” – Ycee tells ACP Yomi Shogunle after Tweet about #EndSARS

Shots have been fired on the frontlines of the #EndSARS campaign by ace musician Ycee. As usual, we are impatiently anticipating a bloodbath although its been silent.

The head of Police Complaint Rapid Unit ACP Yomi Shogunle had tweeted

186 million retweets to #EndSARS. Oya let’s go!”.

The tweet which was perceived as mockery since Shogunle is well known for speaking against the #EndSARS protests. He has also often stated that those vying for the protest were criminals.

Nigerian kagaban, Ycee fired his shots in a reply to the said tweets saying:

You are a hot pile of trash I pray God blesses you with long life to see an effective Nigerian Police Force without the likes of you Sir.

The response from Ycee is a daring mix of courtesy and insult but who can blame him? The campaign for #EndSARS has had several youths and their families crying out in pain across the thirty six states of Nigeria.

Oludemilade Martin Alejo aka Ycee, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter currently signed to Tinny Entertainment. He rose to fame after the release of his single “Condo“, which features vocals from Patoranking , earned him two nominations at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

He was also nominated in the “Best Artist in African Pop” category at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards.

In October 2016, Ycee signed a record deal with Sony Music. In December 2016, He was nominated in the “Next Rated” category at The Headies 2016.

Ycee has shown that he is not one to hold back when he has an opinion.
