Davido Celebrates Wizkid As He Turns 28

He was out of the country, in far away Paris, France, on Starboy Wizkid’s birthday, but Davido, aka Omo Baba Olowo, still found time to wish Wizkid, his friend and one-time rival, a happy birthday.

Davido, whose song “Ofili Gaga” has been making waves in the country, uploaded a video of himself, paper cup in hand, dancing to Wizkid’s hit song “Soco” in the company of some fans.

He wrote: “Happy birthday @wizkidayo!! Keep soaring.” He wasn’t done yet. He went ahead to tweet: “Happy birthday brother!! @wizkidayo keep soaring! God keep you safe! Your children go see you live long Amen! GBEFUN!!”

Davido and Wizkid have not always been this chummy. They were friends once but parted ways when their interests collided.

They made up and even went ahead to perform together on stage. They have remained good friends ever since.

So the birthday wish was much expected and appreciated, not just by Wizkid himself but by thousands of fans as well, who shared the posts.

Wizkid has much indeed to celebrate on his birthday. He had risen from an obscure singing group he founded, called the Glorious Five, to a superstar, travelling to and performing at concerts around the world and receiving endorsements from corporate organization.

He is in fact said to be booked for the next three years.
