Popular Nigerian Singer, D’banj Loses Son

The most painful thing to ever befall any parent has happened to Nigerian musician, D’banj.  The extremely devastating news reaching us has it that the Nigerian singer, entertainer, and entrepreneur, Daniel Dapo Oyebanjo and wife Lineo Kilgrow, have lost his son Daniel Junior, who just turned one last month to the cold hands of death.

Dapo Oyebanjo III was said to have drowned at the pool in the Oyebanjo’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos. While the unfortunate incident became known on Sunday evening, the bereaved father confirmed the sad news in the early hours of today.

Taking to his Instagram page, D’banj posted a blank image with the caption: “Trying Times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”

D’banj was said to have been in Los Angeles to attend the 2018 BET Awards when his son died.

“IF” crooner, Davido, who won the Best International Act at BET Awards on Monday morning, expressed his sadness at the passing of D’banj’s son in his acceptance speech.

Meanwhile, ever since the news became known, fans, politicians, celebrities and industry colleagues have all taken to social media to commiserate with the singer’s loss, and pray for the soul of the deceased baby.
