“The system needs to be fixed!” – Maleek Berry shares Scary Experience at #Headies2018

Singer, Maleek Berry is the latest on the list of influential Nigerians calling for a change in the system. Although the call he made wasn’t political, it still rang loud enough to get the attention of the entire country.

Making the call on Sunday, the artist described how a close friend of his had started convulsing minutes before they were supposed to leave for the 2018 Headies where he was both nominated for awards and billed to perform.

According to him, there was no driver available to drive the ambulance around and they eventually had to use the hotel shuttle.

Maleek Berry whose “First Daze of Winter” EP released earlier in the year is still making waves thanked dance queen, “Waje” and “Omawumi” for helping his friend.

Many people had noticed he wasn’t himself at the awards and some had insinuated he was on drugs, but with the tweets about his friend, he has laid that to rest.

It remains to be seen if there’ll be any response from the Ministry of Health on this latest development but there has been none as at the time of writing this.
