Davido donates $5,000 to Music School in Kigali, Rwanda

Davido has just recently put major smiles on the faces of the fortunate students of a music school in Kigali, Rwanda to whose education the superstar donated a whopping $5,000.

The philanthropic DMW boss just kicked off the African leg of his critically-acclaimed 30 Billion World Tour in Rwanda, and seized the opportunity to pay a quick visit to the said music school in Kigali just before his first performance.

During the visit, the reigning MTV EMA Best African Act shared his passion for music making with the excited students and showed them a thing or two they could learn from his immensely successful music career.

Davido definitely did the unexpected when he announced – to the apparent delight of all the students present – that he would be donating $5,000 to their education. The multi award winning music icon further gifted all the students with free tickets to his concert later in the day.

Eager to share his experience at the music school with his fans and followers, the “Flora My Flawa” crooner shared a video of his inspiring interaction with the students on Twitter. The video revealed that Davido also treated the lucky students to a special live performance before he bid them goodbye.

It’s always great to see the biggest names on our continental music scene giving back to the society, especially when this entails enabling the younger generation better unleash and maximize their potentials.
