Burna Boy Records Second Billboard Reggae Albums Chart Appearance with ‘Outside’, Debuts at No. 3

Burna Boy’s latest album ‘Outside’ is making all the right waves, not just within Nigerian borders, but across international headlines as well. The 13-track album which was released barely a couple of weeks ago, has debuted on Billboard’s Reggae Albums Chart at number 3, and it’s a pretty big deal.

Released precisely on the 26th of January this year from the stables of Atlantic Records and Bad Habit, ‘Outside’ – whose release was preceded by the release of singles ‘Sekkle Down’ ft. J Hus, ‘Koni Baje’, and the Lily Allen collaboration, ‘Heaven’s Gate’ – was met with unprecedented acclaim upon it’s release.

It is therefore really no surprise that the master class album has recorded this feat on the highly-regarded  Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, debuting at number 3, right behind ‘Stony Hill’ by Damian Marley at number 2 and ‘Vessel of Love’ by Hollie Cook at the top spot.

This, of course, is a remarkable accomplishment for Nigeria’s Reggae-Dancehall superstar, Burna Boy, who is still receiving tons of praise for the quality of work and effort that he put into ‘Outside’.

Ardent fans of the superstar would recall that this record by ‘Outside’ makes it the second time Burna Boy is making it to the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, as his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ peaked at number 7 on the chart way back in 2013.

Seeing as ‘Outside’ has only just debuted at number 3, there’s every chance that the stellar body of work could make its way higher up the chart, possibly getting to the very top.

While we wait to see if that happens, congratulations are in order for Oluwa Burna, who has continued to push his frontiers and – by so doing – those of Nigerian and African music as well all across the globe.
