Five Star Music general, Kcee unveils the music video for his collaboration with Kenyan musical powerhouse, Sauti Sol. Titled “Whine For Me,” the effort streams off Kcee‘s recently released “Attention To Detail” album
Kcee whose real name is Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo is a royal on Nigeria’s competitive music circuit by all standards. Massive hits songs such as “Limpopo,” “Tender,” “Pull Over,” “Tinana,” and others readily come to mind.
However, with the departure of Harrysong from the imprint, many music fans have wondered how Kcee would carry on since it is largely believed in several quarters that the newly formed Alter Plate boss was the brain behind many of the latter’s hit songs.
Well, efforts such as “Whine For Me” can only double those doubts. This is because the output is only mediocre at best – sub-par content, excess auto-tune, irregular structure and overall average delivery. In fact, many fans are already expressing their displeasure across various social channels.
For the highly respected Kenyan afro-pop band, Sauti Sol, many just cannot fathom out why their vocals would be laced with so much auto-tune on “Whine For Me” since it is usually not the practice with most of their offerings.
Well, it is left to be seen how this music video as directed by Avalon Okpe fares since it has just been released. However, you can also join the conversation by sharing your thoughts and opinion in the comments section below.
