Rwandan RnB singer Justin “Kid“ Gaju has just released a new track titled “Nzirikana,” as well as a music video to go with. Both may be worth your time, after all.
Kid Gaju is a kid only in name. The singer gives you bars you expect only from “adults” – you know, oldies in the music block. He is a voice worth hearing and probably one that will serenade Africa for a long time to come.
Although Kid Gaju has only just made an appearance on Nigeria’s premier music blog NaijaTurnUP, the singer’s romance with music did not start yesterday. In fact he makes the list of musicians whose romance with music began at a tender age. He started recording as far back as 2008.
He released his debut single titled “Umunota Umwe” back in 2011. Before then, however, he had recorded songs which were never released. It was not until he released “Mama Bebe” in November of the same year that fame found him.
He had marched steadily thereafter, collaborating with artistes not only at home in Rwanda but in other African countries, including Uganda.
