The one is controversial for her thoughts about sex and her ownership of Naked Club, the other is known for his boundless love for the African drum. These two South African artistes – Moonchild Sanelly and Heavy K have just dropped a new number titled “Yebo Mama.”
The song, which carries the flag of the dance genre, is great, the diversity of the artistes notwithstanding. This one is meant for dancehalls, and I am sure it will find secure places in many of them soon.
Moonchild, who had apparently begun the year as a feature on Golden’s “Shukela” (alongside Zulu Mkhathini, DJ Pelco and DJ Rico), had a smash departure from 2018 with CKay’s “Container (Refix),” which also featured Zlatan.
Heavy K, on the other hand, signed out of 2018 with “Forever,” featuring Nokwazi and Mpumi. This would be his first collaboration of 2019. And, glory be, he made a smash of it. In case you don’t know, Heavy K came by his stage name because of his weight.
According to the musician, who is fondly called The Drum Boss, he is looking to more gym activity this year, as he is keen to become “Lighter K.” Well, for the moment, enjoy the song on offer.
