Nigerian born Olutade Adepoju, famously known as LasGiiDi is a US based record producer, singer and rapper. He began his music career in 2013, juggling music with his university education and slowly creeping into the African music circuit.
This fast rising artiste rose into stardom after years of hard work with his summer hit single “Logo” in 2016. LasGiiDi quickly followed this win by releasing “Ligali”, “Touch the sky” featuring Chyn and Vanessa Mumba and “My Squad” featuring Bils.
He also worked on building a strong musical portfolio and brand by collaborating with Nigeria’s heavyweight rapper, Olamide on his singles “Who you epp” and “Bottles”.
LasGiiDi further gained recognition across Africa touring with notable artistes like Iyanya, Olamide, Davido, Dremo, Phyno and Tekno. He has won several awards including the AFRIMMA awards in October, 2015.
Collaborator on the track, Kenyan Disc jockey, Amino Ivy aka DJ Poison Ivy was the first female DJ to work with Dallas Mavericks. The bonafide sports lover based in US, is also the first woman to ever DJ an NBA All-Star game.
The proud mother constantly dominates the music circuit as a multi- culturally influenced curator of the arts. She has won several awards including Best African DJ USA.
The other collaborator, English trapper, Nathaniel Thompson popularly known as Giggz, kicked off his career by releasing several mix tapes including “Hollowman Meets Blade” which featured Blade Brown. His mixtapes sold more than 10,000 units, expanding his popularity outside London.
Over the years, Giggz has released studio albums like “Let Em Ave it”, “Talkin’ da Hardest” and “Walk in da Park”. The success of his albums have earned him a BET awards in 2008 and nomination for BET Best International Act: Europe award in 2017 amongst others.
