Oluwaseyi Odedere, the song diva long famous by the name Seyi Shay, has dropped a hot new tune. This one is for lovers and it promises to set them on fire. It is titled “Gimme Love” and features Runtown.
The New Yorker recently recognized Seyi Shay as one of the Nigerian stars changing the sound of global pop, and for good reason. The songstress has been in the vanguard of Nigeria’s pop revolution, dropping one scorcher after another and collaborating with some the African music industry’s finest acts.
She was on Funbi’s “Body,” DJ Ice Cream’s “Up NEPA,” alongside Mr Real, Adekunle Gold’s “Delilah’s Tale” and Dr Sid’s “Deep Down.” What you have here is but a meager list of her collaborations.
On her own, she has dropped scorchers like “Surrender,” featuring Kizz Daniel and DJ Neptune, “Love You Scatter,” featuring Vanessa Mdee, “Right Now,” and several others.
Runtown, an equally important name in Nigerian music, is the mastermind of, most recently, “Permission,” featuring South Africa’s Nasty C. other bangers from the one-time Eric Manny artiste include “Unleash,” featuring Fekky, and “Mad Over You.”
