The Tanzanian star has not been particularly prolific this year, and fans are left wondering what, exactly, has been up with the singer. Well, Q Chief has got his reasons. But fans can trust him not to release half-baked vibes just for the sake of earning the “prolific” tag.
Abubakar Kitwala, long famous by his adopted stage name Q Chief (also called Q Chillah), is intensely controversial, with very strong opinions on music. He had once accused Kenyan musicians of not releasing music of wide appeal.
Among Q Chief’s offerings so far are “Delailah,” “My Boo,” “Kama Yule,” “Zamani,” “Tunatawela,” “Wiper,” “Ntaanzaje,” and several others.
Country Boy, a fine solo artiste, also of Tanzanian provenance, is the mastermind of several bangers including “Zee La Kukomesha,” “Wanao Haya,” featuring Khaligraph Jones and S2kizzy, “I Like That,” featuring Barakah Da Prince, “Kibegi,” featuring Kachi, and several others.
“Dawa” is Q Chief at his lyrical and vocal best. Country Boy too. The duo has got a winner in “Dawa.” It is a song worth listening to and sharing too. Go get the song and find out for yourself.
