No Struggle No Success boss, CDQ delivers a hot serving with his recently released single titled “Flex” to the delight of fans marking the Independence Day celebration and it was produced by JayPizzle and Fiokee.
Sodiq Abubaker Yusuf popularly known as CDQ is a Nigerian street flavored rapper. The indigenous CDQ started his music career professionally in 2008 as a back-up singer for the late DaGrin.
He later started rapping in English language with MI. In 2012, CDQ contested and won a rap battle at the weekly Industry Nite and soon signed a record deal with Masterkraft General Records.
In 2014, he released his breakthrough single titled “Indomie” featuring Olamide, quickly followed by the remix featuring Davido.
The Masterkraft-produced song brought CDQ‘s career to limelight and earned him two nomination spots at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and a nomination in the Best Street-Hop Artist category of The Headies 2015.
In anticipation of his debut studio album “Quality”, CDQ made several collaborations with artistes including Wizkid on “Nowo E Soke”, a lead single off the album. The video was directed by Unlimited L.A and won the Best Afro Hip-Hop Video at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Music Video Awards.
On 11 November 2016, he launched his own record label No Struggle No Success (N.S.N.S) Entertainment. On 1 Feb 2017, he dropped his first official single under the platform titled “Say Baba” which was produced by Jay Pizzzle and has gone on to make several more collaborations.
The recently released single “Flex”, talks about his ideal day flexing with his beautiful ladies and crew. “Flex” is yet another skilled chart-topper from CDQ mixed and mastered by Suka Sounds.
