One of the stars that were born from the shaku shaku revolution is Yovi and he returns to the stage with an exciting new offering titled “Baby Oku” that has him spinning relatable lines and lyrics that burst the brain.
If you’re familiar with popular lingo on Nigerian streets and you follow trends, ‘baby oku’ is not a tag that will come strange to you. It even has a drink that, well,we on’t say what it does. It’s exactly what Yovi taps into here, directing the song at his primary constituency: the street with an assurance that they know exactly what he is talking about.
Produced by Calis Da Kapentar, this exciting new song also came with mad visuals shot in Ghana by Sire Choppensson and which sees Ghanaian actress Priscilla Opoku Agyeman making an appearance as Yovi‘s object of interest.
The song is basically a love song that makes promises of the forever kind of love minus the flashiness and spending that comes with big relationships. In other words, he’s singing for a lover that is not materialistic. The song is interesting of course but it’ll be good to see how the rest of the female population handle this. In the main time, you can listen right here.
