One of the biggest faces in Alternative music on the continent, Brymo is back with the video of “Bá’núsọ”, one of the songs off his “Oso” album released earlier this year. Coming as successor to his “Let Us Be Great” song released in July, this video is thrilling.
Not one given to too much theatrics – except when he’s messing with our heads with his choice of titles or when he’s choosing nudity – Brymo went simple on this, choosing to let the video align with the words of the song. The song itself is about thinking yourself and making your own decisions.
The path followed by the video then makes sense seeing as it was dark with Brymo himself on a spot, singing and smiling to himself.
Brymo, a one-time Chocolate City artiste, began singing way back in secondary school in 1999. His first studio album was “Brymstone” released 2007.
“The Son Of A Kapenta,” his second album, directly references his father’s occupation and his own rise to prominence. The misspelling of the title is deliberate and hints at his father’s lack of education.
By May 2016 he had released his fifth studio album, titled “Klitorîs“ and it quickly caught fire, first for the choice of title and second, for how good the songs were. “Oso” came as a worthy successor to the album and got people talking especially when he went nude in “Heya” one of the songs in the album.
We’re glad to have the visual to the song available now and with Brymo remaining one of the biggest faces on the continent, we expect even more from him even as we totally recommend this.
