Well, it seems Shane Eagle has had a definite break from musical lethargy and is back to regular releases. On ehazards this guess on the strength of the release of his newest track “The Moon” today.
It was so, so unexpected. So it is understandable why the new single is still the talk of the moment, although the day is well worn and close to shading its twenty-fourth garment.
Another reason is that this new track is coming just days after the rapper released “GUSTAVO,” a diss track directed at “Fele in Versace” hitmaker AKA.
Shane Eagle, who Priddy Ugly recently co-opted to release “02Hero,” is a standout act whose album “Yello” is a notable bestseller. The “Top Floor” crooner can also boast of other notable songs such as “Black Rick” and “Mary Mary.”
There is no public statement to this effect, but with the release of “The Moon,” one can say confidently that it will mark a great wave of productivity for the artiste. And indeed South Africa’s – really Africa’s – music spacec will be the best for it.
“The Moon” carries some train of national and afrocentrism and something of a knowledge of self.
