Those familiar with Leemo‘s career trajectory will remember that he had dropped “Nepa 1.0” before and this sequel is just a way of capitalizing on the acceptance of the song to drop a followup with the hope that fans who loved the first one will love this and that it will even win more fans.
Produced by Don Adah, “Up Nepa 2.0” was well delivered and it helped that Leemo had two artistes who knew what they were doing on the song. While the audio is really cool, things are going to get even cooler when the visuals to the song drops, and that could happen anytime now since the artiste said the video is ready.
Collaborator on the song, Skiibii may be young age-wise but he is not a stranger to the industry. Skiibii who was recently signed to More Grace Records has been very hardworking with the result being that he has been churning out relatable songs that get airplays.
Skiibii ended last year with Young Alpha-produced “Ogume” in November and kicked off this year with “Skibobo” on which he featured D’Tunes. In March, he joined XBusta on “Proud of My Woman” before dropping “Gara”, last month as his first offering since signing on to More Grace Records.
Harrysong on his own has been active this year with songs like “Selense”, “Selense II”, “Confessions”, “Happiness”, and “Tekero” released a few days ago.
On “Up Nepa 2.0”, all three artistes did what was expected of them and while the music video is not out yet, we can take solace in how good the song is on its own as we groove along.
