On fire is how we describe anyone that can drop two top songs in a day and feature top artistes on it. Cash Wale is gunning for legendary status following the release of the remix of his hit banger, “Handkerchief”. The song is coming on the heels of the release of “Malaika”, a song on which he featured DMW act, Idowest.
Cash Wale is not a stranger on these streets at all. I mean, he has dropped songs like “Atarodo”, “Handkerchief”, “Love Lover”, “Body Bad”, “Wonkere” feat. Dammy krane, “Ifeoma” ft Ojie and lots more.
His collaborator on this remix, CDQ is a baba in the industry as well and has been dropping hits since he dropped his breakthrough single titled “Indomie” featuring Olamide. The remix of the song featured DMW boss, Davido.
The Masterkraft-produced song brought CDQ‘s career to limelight and earned him two nomination spots at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and a nomination in the Best Street-Hop Artist category at The Headies 2015.
In anticipation of his debut studio album “Quality”, CDQ made notable collaborations with artistes like Wizkid on “Nowo E Soke”, as a lead single off the album. The music video for the song was directed by Unlimited L.A and went on to win the Best Afro Hip Hop Video category at the 2016 edition of the Nigeria Music Video Awards.
The other collaborator, Idowest needs no introduction as well. The only way you wouldn’t have heard about him is if you live under a rock or you haven’t bee following the Shaku shaku trend.
Idowest collaborated with Dammy Krane and O’Cube early in the year before he was snapped up by DMW boss, Davido and welcomed into Omo Baba Olowo’s music label.
This collaboration between three talented artistes make the remix of “Handkerchief” a truly remarkable one. If you loved “Handkerchief” when it was released, you should jump on this remix right away as you will most definitely love it as well.
