– Mazuva Akanaka Ft.

South African music duo,  are winning hearts with their song, “Mazuva Akanaka”, a song on which they featured the talented Zimbabwean singer,  with dance group, Kara Jenelle doing the choreography for the visuals.

consists of two talented singers, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza who have been on top of the game for over 20 years. In fact, “Mazuva Akanaka” is one of the songs off their “20” collection released to celebrate their 20 years of doing music and we dare say the song couldn’t have been better than it is.

Third Generation band leader, Mukudzeyi  Mukombe aka  started out his musical career by recording dancehall and reggae tracks with friends but failed at hitting the national music scene until releasing “Sorry Mama” and “Seiko” after several attempts.

The young soldier or ‘Musoja’ as he is called by fans; a name he gained due to his signature band uniform of military regalia, released his first commercially launched album in 2007 which was highly successful and contained singles like “Maria” and “Dande”.

He went on to release two more albums after that and hasn’t looked back since. In 2013 after the release of his third album, he won a NAMA Award for Song of the year with  his single “Gotchi Gotchi” and in 2014, after Kumbumua Mhute, he won five NAMA Awards and two ZIMA awards.

His most notable work was the collaboration with Tanzania’s award winning artiste, Diamond Platnumz on his hit song “Watori Mari”. The song which peaked on YouTube in less than a month has also enjoyed massive airplay on MTV Base and Trace Africa.

“Mazuva Akanaka” is a delightful song and one that pays tribute to how far Mafikizolo has come and how much they still have to offer.
