Edrisa Musuuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo is a Ugandan performing artiste. The young talent had to live on the streets for 13 years after losing his mother at the age of 5. He dubbed the moniker, Endy Kenzo after high school venturing into the music industry initially as a songwriter.
He soon started work at a studio as a means to hone his craft in 2007. In 2008, Eddy Kenzo gained some traction being featured on Mikie Wine‘s hit song “Yanimba”.
In 2010, Eddy Kenzo was plunged into stardom with the release of his breakthrough single “Stamina”. “Stamina” with its distinct dance moves and power vocals drew the attention of fans across Uganda including Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, who used it as a campaign theme song.
The ace performer released his debut album in June 2009, earning massive recognition from its successes. His second concert ensued on August 2010 helping Eddy Kenzo build a consistent career in music with viral singles including “Jambole” and “Sitya Loss”.
The proud father has had three albums and numerous hit singles over the course of his career, earning several awards including a Channel O nomination for Best East-African act in 2014.
