In a surprise move which leaves everyone wide-eyed, YBNL Nation boss teams up with popular Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, for a 3-track joint extended play tagged “Ghetto Bred”.
Well, as surprising as the announcement was, the content of this EP definitely blew us away. And worthy of note is the song “No” on which Olamide unleashed his genius that has earned him the street cred he proudly holds.
“Ghetto Bred EP” is a compilation of the official soundtracks for Eniola Badmus’ new movie of the same name, released on 15 June. The movie tells the story of Efe, a young vibrant lady who doesn’t believe in love until Onons, who spoke the language she understood, and Fred, a complete gentleman.
Ghetto Bred casts other famous actors in the industry such as Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus, who also directed and produced the movie, comedienne Helen Paul, and Ushbebe, amongst others.
And as if her efforts are not incredible enough, the acclaimed actress who shot into the limelight after featuring on Jenifa alongside Funke Akindele about a decade ago, teams up with one of the best in the music industry for this masterclass rendition.
On “No” Baddo can be herd crooning to a lover whose mind is tending towards an unfavourable response, in hopes to change her mind.
“No” is an impressive work, which could only mean, everything about Ghetto Bred is that dope.
