Barely hours after teaming up with Kill.Zero to release a 3-song EP called KILL’s WRLD, Chicago rapper, Juice WRLD is back again. However, this time he’s in a sombre mood as he releases a sombre alternative rock tune that pays tribute to his deceased friend XXXTentacion, who was gunned down in Florida on Monday.
Since the demise of the late rapper, fans, artists, celebrities and many others have taken to social media to express their shock.
XXXTentacion was killed by two men in a dark-coloured SUV while leaving a motorbike store in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
His death has led fast-rising Chicago artist Juice WRLD to release tribute songs for not just XXX, but for Lil Peep as well. The 2-song EP called “Too Soon” features the first track as “Legends” with the second as “Rich and Blind.”
Following the death of the 20-year old Florida rapper, Juice WRLD expresses being lost in this world and trying to find his purpose in all of this.
The song sees him spits “I know I have a purpose, but I don’t see the purpose,” he spits before mentioning being a lost soul. “Say they really wanna read my mind, They really wanna read my mind/ Im telling you right now all you’ll find is a lost soul rich & blind”…..
Juice WRLD is popularly known for his songs “All Girls Are the Same” and “Lucid Dreams,” with both garnering almost 150 million views on Spotify; and Juice WRLD having over 16 million monthly listeners on the streaming service.
