Veteran Nigerian indigenous rapper, Konga reminds us he is still very much in the game as he brings a new banging tune titled “No Level” alongside rave of the moment and Davido Music Worldwide new signee, Idowest.
Konga, whose real name is Lawal Olalekan Olumo had dominated the music circuit sicne the 2000s with such records as “Baby Konga,” “Jawon Si,” “Holl It,” as well as his highly-successful “Konga H2O” album. But after a long hiatus, people thought he had retired.
But he proved them wrong as he featured on Eedris Abdulkarim‘s “Trouble Dey Sleep“ track in late 2017 with such vitality and aesthetic delivery that made a strong statement that the talented singer still has what it takes to blow up the dance floors.
But the statement hit home when he came through with his banging street anthem dubbed “Oshapranpran” which quickly became a street anthem as it holds elements of the Ghetto Story of Konga himself which many could relate to.
And little surprise when “Oshapranpran” became the new street slang across the country—a reminder of Konga’s ingenuity.
And, back to the present, he brings us yet another epic and contagious number, as he teams up with the “Omo Shepeteri” crooner who was recently signed to Davido’s reigning label DMW and has been frequently featured on a number of tracks this year such as Jaywon’s “Masun” and O’Cube’s “Cache”.
The duo created “No Level”, an anthem that you can rest assured, it will be the next big thing as it takes over DJs party mix.
