Following the beef between Drake and G.O.O.D Music CEO, Pusha T, Canadian rapper, songwriter, and actor, Drake has brought back the smoke and heat to Pusha T and Kanye West by releasing a new steaming song titled “I’m Upset” from his anticipated album still rumoured to be titled Scorpion.
Drake announced the album earlier this year, saying the record is scheduled to likely be released next month. The single artwork of the upcoming album depicts the image of a scorpion sitting upon a skeleton hand.
“I’m Upset” comes after the Pusha T and Kanye West diss track titled “Duppy Freestyle,” a three-minute track, and also issuing a mock six-figure invoice billed to the G.O.O.D. Music rappers for “promotional assistance and career reviving.”
Drake was recently the intended target of a track titled “Infrared” featured on Pusha T’s new album, Daytona, which was produced by West.
The two rappers have had a long-simmering beef, and are often seen throwing taunts and verbal shots at each other. This time, Pusha T mocked Drake over the use of the songwriter Quentin Miller, to which Drake replied by unleashing “Duppy Freestyle” (in case you don’t know, a “duppy” is a ghost in Jamaican folklore, which refers to Pusha’s accusations that Drake employs the services of ghostwriters for his songs.)
As far as we can tell, Drake has been really productive this year, some of which include teaming up Lil Baby on his single “Yes Indeed,” as well as commissioning singles “God’s Plan,” “Nice For What,” and “Diplomatic Immunity all of which topped the American single charts.
