SA fast-rising hip hop act, A-Reece has belted out a new single titled “Gone Are The Days”.
The “Couldn’t” hitmaker serves it red hot on this latest release by dishing out dope beats and smooth wordplay that blends perfectly with A-Reece’s vocals as he takes us on a journey about his past and the beginning of his musical career.
Recall that earlier this year, Kid Tini, one of South Africa’s most promising young lyricists, was reported to having a beef with A-Reece.
On releasing the video for “Movie,” Kid Tini raps, “I heard a lil birdie chirp a lotta shit/ But fuck a wannabe Toronto counterfeit,” which is clearly a shot fired at A-Reece, who is a Drake fan and has been accused of duplicating the Canadian-born artiste’s sound.
Hip-hop fans picked up on the beef, with some accusing Tini of using Reece’s name for attention. Others even went as far as accusing Ambitiouz Entertainment, the label A-Reece left last year, and one that Tini is signed to, of setting the two rappers up against each other.
2018 has seen A-Reece release dope tunes like ‘Off White”, “Rich”, “Go Blow”, and “Couldn’t Have Said It Better” back to back. With “Gone Are The Days” it looks like the SA rap act isn’t resting on his oars and wouldn’t be leaving our minds for a long time to come.
“Gone Are The Days” is dope…. rich… eclectic…inspiring…..and fun. To enjoy this latest gift from A-Reece, simply download or stream here. And don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments section.
