Ghanaian Rap Boss Sarkodie is out with a new banger. This one is tagged ‘Ye Be Pa Wo’ and is produced by MOG Beatz. All the mixing and mastering for the track was done by Possigee. Sarkodie, who also happens to be the CEO of the music label Sarkcess Music, has been at the forefront at promoting Ghanaian Rap music in Africa.
The rapper, who hails from Tema has won numerous awards in the West African musical scene and has worked closely with reputable musicians from the region. Mostly, Sarkodie features in remixes of big tracks. Just last month, the rapper featured in the remix of Olamide’s WO, in collaboration with Nasty C.
Sarkodie was also involved in the remix of Wizkid’s all-time song Ojuelegba. He also appeared in the Remix of “You go kill me” featuring Wizkid, E.L, Ice Prince among others. Ye Be Pa Wo is a fast-paced track rapped in Ghanaian language. A bit of, Afro-pop can be felt in the song although, the rap bit kind of dominates the whole track.
The song comes at a time when Sarkodie is hopeful of winning an award at the 2018 Headies awards for the third time. Back in 2016, the singer won in two categories at the Headies. He was awarded the award for Best African Artiste and Best Reggae/Dancehall Single at the event.
The song that gave him the second award was “No Kissing Baby”, featuring Patoranking. The song was produced by Prod. GospelOnDeBeatz. Sarkodie is very hopeful that he will take home something this year at the Headies and the song “Ye Be Pa Wo” might just improve his odds.
