Fast rising Nigerian singer INK Edwards is picking things up right where he left off last year with the release of his banging new joint titled “Taken”, and it’s no doubt on its way to becoming a fan favourite.
The uber-talented 24 year musician who is known for his versatility came off a musical hiatus of sorts in December last year with the commissioning of his critically-acclaimed seven-track EP “Girls That Came By” which was generally described as candid yet rich.
His latest release “Taken” is an insanely groovy mid-tempo tune which brings us INK Edwards at his finest. His vocal dexterity, lyrical genius and infectious flow all come to bear rather seamlessly on this one.
The love song which samples the first few lines of Wizkid’s 2014 smash hit “In My Bed” and was produced, mixed and mastered by Galactic Beatz, with Wale Sax working a bit of his magic on production decks as well with the saxophone.
INK Edwards seems to be making good his promise to stay consistent with his releases this year, and if “Taken” is anything to go by, then we can expect a truly scintillating audio experience from INK as the 2018 progresses.
