Boogey returns yet again as the king of freestyles with the commission of yet another fierce. This time, he jumps on the instrumentals of “Tito Mboweni” by South African Hip Hop king, Cassper Nyovest.
“Tito Mboweni” buzzed across the continent and beyond the pond as one of Africa’s finest hit songs of the past year, 2017. The effort streamed off Cassper‘s gold-making “Thuto” album.
However, with the lyrical craft, artistry and depth of Boogey, he didn’t even need the killer-hook anthem to extend the lifespan of “Tito Mboweni.” All he had to do was connect those fierce and fiery lines on bars.
That was exactly what Boogey did as he goes on to lash out on his hopes of becoming a prophet someday in the mould of the likes of Martin Luther King; but having changed the world in his own way before transcending unto the realms beyond.
Knowing Boogey whose real name is David Iye Odey, he wouldn’t drop the mic on “Tito Mboweni (Freestyle)” without some lyrical jabs and shades at trying emcees; taking them to school with some lessons on who the real tutor is.
“Tito Mboweni (Freestyle)” is yet another score and win for Boogey who has been unrelenting in the commission of several bangs in recent times. Efforts such as “Diplomatic Immunity,” Efforts such as “Maradona + Wo (Freestyle),” “Solo,” alongside ZazzZ and Kemi Smallzz, “No Country For Dreamers,” “Feel (Freestyle),” and“Matiasma,” readily comes mind.
However, Cassper Nyovest himself have been thoroughly pleased with this latest effort, so what else are you waiting for? Simply stream, download, then share your thoughts and opinion in the comments section below.
