Thought the Nigerian reggae veteran, Majek Fashek, was down and out? Think again. The living legend obviously still has a trick or two up his sleeve as he comes through big time with a brand new music video for his song, ‘Hey Rastaman’, and we’re loving it.
Majek fashek has kept us entertained literally for decades with his evergreen songs such as ‘Send Down The Rain’, ‘Little Patience’ and ‘Holy Spirit’. Despite his recent problems for which he had to spend some time in rehab, the widely celebrated and highly revered rainmaker has all but thrown in the towel.
In a recent attempt to put himself right back on the music scene, Majek – whose real name is Majekodunmi Fasheke – recently concluded work on his latest project, an album titled ‘Weep Not Children’, to celebrate 30 years of being on stage.
One of the standout songs on the album is ‘Hey Rastaman’, which easily brings us everything we have come to love over the decades about the industry veteran and more. You can therefore imagine our excitement that a music video has been shot for the brilliant tune.
Produced by Uzoma Omenka and directed by the Hekcentric films, the video for ‘Hey Rastaman’ was shot in London, and we are refreshed just be seeing Majek do what he loves to do once more.
We really need you to share this experience with us. Enjoy both the audio and video of ‘Hey Rastaman’ right here and, as usual, share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
