The AFRIMMA 2017 Best Male East Africa nominee, has carved a well-deserved niche for himself, not just in the Ugandan music industry, but on the entire East African music scene and beyond.
With hits such as ‘Love You Everyday’ (which was covered brilliantly by Falz last season on Coke Studio Africa), ‘Freedom’, ‘African Gal’, and ‘Perfect Loving’, Bebe Cool has earned himself a formidable fanbase across Uganda.
His features on songs such as ‘Mbozi Za Malwa’ by critically acclaimed Kenyan Afro-pop band, Sauti Sol, has also earned him notable recognition beyond Ugandan borders.
‘Go Mama’ is a refreshing departure from the usual themes about money, fast cars and women. On this rather inspirational song, Bebe Cool calls our attention to the homeless, abandoned and vulnerable children in the streets, and calls us all to action, reminding us that it’s our responsibility to take care of these less fortunate ones and secure a better, brighter future for them.
The accompanying video for the thought-provoking song does justice to it as well, as we get a glimpse of just how hard life can be for the child who has no home.
