What happens when two of the best female music artistes across Africa team up to bless their fans with a collaboration? Of course, an instant hit is birthed!
25 year old uber-talented Ghanaian Afropop, Dancehall and R&B artiste, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, who’s known all across the continent as MzVee has just commissioned her first release of 2018 with an accompanying music video.
The new song ‘Come And See My Moda’ is a collaborative effort featuring none other than the self-proclaimed Mama Africa, Yemi Alade, and it’s an absolute banger.
MzVee first burst onto the Ghanaian music scene way back in 2012 as the lead singer of Lynx Entertainment’s girl band, D3.
Before the band split at the end of 2013, it released hit singles such as ‘Good Girls Gone Bad’ and ‘Gyani Gyani’. Ever since then, the gifted songstress has gone on to pursue an impressive solo career churning out scorchers such as ‘Sing My Name’, ‘Daavi’ and ‘Hold Me Down’.
Her latest offering ‘Come And See My Moda’ featuring the MTV Africa Music Awards Best Female of 2015 and 2016 (whose remarkable latest album, ‘Black Magic’ was released at the end of 2017) basically passes across the message that any man who wants to have a lady to himself needs to go see the her parents first – hinting of course at marriage.
The sizzling track was produced by Kuami Eugene and Richie Mensah, and its accompanying video, which was directed by XBills Ebenezer, features seasoned Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh, and is all shades of impressive.
