In the spirit of keeping pace with his numerous contemporaries who have already released tracks this year, the VO Nation front man, E.L – who is no doubt popular on the Ghanaian Music scene for bangers such as ‘Sugar Girl’ featuring Bisa Kdei, ‘Drop’ featuring M.I & Khuli Chana, and ‘Namaway’ featuring Stonebwoy – comes through once more to his fans’ delight as he drops his very first jam of 2018 to kick off the year.
The prolific Ghanaian rapper and hip-hop hit-maker, E.L, titles this Afrobeat scorcher – cooked by none other than the talented music producer, PeeOnTheBeat – ‘Ayeyi’, which means ‘Praise’ in Twi language.
The song features the Accra-born sensational twin brothers , Michael Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist), together known as DopeNation, who had a fantastic 2017 with the release of their songs ’Bebia Ye Shi’ and ‘Uh Huh’.
Very reminiscent of what he did last year on his well-received hit, “Agbo (also produced by PeeOnTheBeat),” E.L decided to make his debut commission of 2018 a somewhat gospel track, as ‘Ayeyi’ sees the rappers expressing their gratitude to The Almighty for His steadfast love, provision and overall blessings. What better way to start the year.
