Sarkodie and King Promise are becoming an item when it comes to hit-making collaborations. There was the “CCTV” collabo they did together alongside Mugeez in May and they are following it up with this new one titled “Can’t Let You Go” and we are super excited.
Ghanaian heavyweight rapper, Michael Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie, is one of the most prominent hiphop artists in Africa and a major proponent of the Azonto genre and dance.
He was ranked 6th on MTV base’s list of the Hottest African MCs in 2014. The proud father and husband has made great strides in his career with notable collaborations with Movado, Miguel, T-Pain, Trey Songz, Ludacris, Flavor, Korede Bello, Jesse Jagz, MasterKraft, TSpice, Ced, Solo, GuilyBeatz and lots more.
He has been very busy this year too featuring on songs like “CCTV” alongside King Promise and Mugeez in May. The same May, he featured on DJ Mensah‘s “Say I Do”, Obrafour‘s “Moesha”. In June, he featured on Magnom‘s “Sika” before dropping his own hit song, “Fa Ma Me”, a freestyle cover for hit song, “Jetey”.
June saw Sarkodie drop other songs like “Sista Gifty” and “Icon” before featuring on Becca‘s “Nana” in July and rounding the month off with his own “State of Mind” on which he featured Scata Bada.
Collaborator on the song, King Promise has been busy this year as well. After his “CCTV” collabo with Sarkodie in May, he dropped the release of hit song, “Oh Yeah” in June, featuring Mr. Eazi and Kwesi Arthur on it.
Early this month, he dropped “Abena” before jumping on GuiltyBeatz‘ “Fire” alongside Joeboy. The release of “Can’t Let You Go” is exciting from two top artistes and we encourage you to jump on this right away and groove away into the weekend.
