The self proclaimed ‘Arigbata’ himself, Abimbola teams up with gangsta rapper Erigga on recently released single dubbed “2Head“.
Abimbola da Arigbata is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, actor and record producer. He started composing and singing jingles at the inversion studio and Club at Delta State Broadcasting Services (DSBS) in 2000.
In 2010, after his move to Lagos, Abimbola started pursuing professional music, releasing a hit single titled “Shuga” produced by Sense Beat. He also released a promotion album in 2012 releasing the single, “Apologise”.
Abimbola has performed with notable artistes like Timaya, Pasuma Wonder, Wonder j, Bling D, shun babe, Lace, Olamide, Kalushia, sean tizzle, Steroman, Harrysong and more.
Collaborator on the song, Erhiga Agarivbie, popularly known as Erigga is a warri born and bred rapper. The sports lover, Erigga played for Delta State Basketball Team and initially aspired to a career in sports.
Erigga soon got influenced by the Nigerian rap and hip hop movement and ventured into rap music. The rapper started recording songs in his late teens and early twenties. He was inspired by rap legends like Rakim, 50 cent, Canibus, Jay Z, Eminem, Ja rule and Nas.
Erigga broke into the Nigeria music scene after releasing hit singles like “Air Burn”, “Paper Boi” and “Death Bed”. Erigga raps in pidgin, a west African patois. As a rapper his lyrics are quite vulgar and most of his songs are not suitable for audiences below 18.
His knack for dirty rap blends well with his great storytelling prowess. Erigga is also a vicious battle rapper who has been crowned victor in over 30 rap competitions all over south south Nigeria.
Voice of the street, Erriga plunged into limelight after the release of his critically acclaimed video for “Dem No Get Two Heads” and is currently signed to New Money Records. He is popularly known for songs like “Wob be be“, “Coupe DeCale“, “Head Wan Blow“, “Liar“, “Another one” and lots more.
