Ugandan artiste and multitalented singer, Raymond Joseph Mugerwa, famously known as Ray Signature is set to win our hearts with his recently released song “Don’t Break My Heart” from his 2018 album “Ultimate Rebirth”.
The dancehall master, Ray Signature, started his career in 2008 under the music group Big Tyme which was mentored and managed by Silver Kyagulanyi at Skia Records.
The music group, Big Tyme consisted of Ray Signature, Lary Chary, and had Oscar released songs like “Apple“, “Sophia” and collaborated with Tanzanian rapper, Kalla Jerimiah, Rabadaba and more.
Ray started his solo career in 2011 when the group broke up, releasing his first single “Kasenyaku” which was well received on radio and TV in the East African region.
Although, he was accused by critics of ripping off Bracket’s single “Me and You”, Ray was never discouraged and kept on singing.
The record producer pursued his musical career relentlessly despite his involvement in a fatal car accident in December 2015, going on to record more songs and collaborating with other artistes.
Beyond singing, he also wrote for other artistes like Rwanda’s Two For Real in “Private Party”, Zambia’s Roberto in “Never Let Her Go”, “Who You Are” featuring Allan Toniks, “Katambala” featuring Irene Ntale and more.
In “Don’t Break My Heart“, lyrical genius, Ray Signature brought to play all the magic fans have come to love about him and delivers a song that fans will be singing along to for a long time.
