From the stables of Muthaland Entertainment comes fast-rising SA musical trio, 047, who are back to our speakers with a brand new belter titled “Wen’Ungowam”.
The boy band have been singing for years and has released tracks like “Spekerod”, “Spirod of the Caribbean”, “A1 Syndrome”, and “Trekker”, among other songs; the boy band didn’t achieve popularity until when they were discovered by singer Vusi Nova.
They first gained notice when Vusi Nova posted a video of the trio singing their song on his social media account. They then released their debut single uBuhle, which features the award-winning singer Vusi Nova late last year.
047 is a boy band which consists of Ngcali Nundu, 19, Lihle Baleni, 20, and Sihle Mdaka, 21. Their name is dedicated to their home town of Mthatha.
According to the singers, 047 is the area code for Mthata, which is where they come from. It’s a way for them to represent their home town, and to show how very proud they are of where they come from too.
And now, the Xhosa boy band has given us a reason not to forget them too quickly. 047 are kick-starting the year 2018 with “Wen’Ungowam”, a hot street jam filled with dope beats and butter-melting lyrics that would soon transport it to achieving popularity like “Ubuhle”.
